Comment : Species common resident and near endemic. They live in thornveld and arid savannahs. They often call from elevated perch. This one is the far western race and it is now a distinct species. Espèce résidente commune et presque endémique. Ces oiseaux vivent dans les steppes épineuses et les savanes arides. Ils chantent souvent depuis un perchoir élevé. Celle-ci appartient à la race de l'ouest et est reconnue comme une epsèce distincte.
