Endemic to Colombia. It lives in high-altitude shrubland, grassland and cultivated areas in subtropical and tropical regions. Il est endémique de Colombie. Il vit dans les broussailles à haute altitude, les prairies et les zones cultivées, dans les régions subtropicales et tropicales.
