Burchell's Starling male, adult, composition, pigmentation — It lives in thornveld and dry broad-lived woodland. Common resident, near endemic, it's solitary and very noisy. This bird looks black, sometimes blue purple or dark blue. In the right light, it may show a wonderful rainbow!

Il vit dans les steppes d'épineux et les arides forêts de feuillus. C'est un résident commun, presque endémique. Il est solitaire et très bruyant. Cet oiseau semble noir, parfois bleu-violet ou bleu foncé. Sous la bonne lumière, il peut déployer un véritable arc-en-ciel !
