They feed mainly on lizards and insects, mammals and birds. They live in open plains, desert and thorn bush. Here he was with a Cape Cobra (naja nivea) for more than an hour. He had designs on catching this snake, The Cape cobra was more than 2m long. It is one of our deadliest snakes, and it is a spitting cobra too.
