Eleonora's Falcon 1st year
A thriving colony of this elegant falcon breeds on the cliffs of the Cabo de Formentor on Mallorca.
Breeding is delayed until late summer so that the young falcons fledge when there is a glut of migrant passerines returning to Africa. Potential victims are identified whilst they are still flying over the sea & are targeted just before landfall being outflown & out-maneuvred.
