Guacharo des cavernes adulte, nuptial — The generic name of these weird birds is derived from the Amerindian custom of harvesting young Oilbirds (which are 30-50% fatter than the adults) & rendering them by boiling to extract the body fat for use in cooking & in oil-lamps.
