Yellow upper legs below the thighs are the diagnostic for this species; Ils vivent dans les marais et les prairies inondables. Ce sont des résidents communs et nomades. Le haut des pattes jaunes, juste sous la cuisse est un critère sûr pour identifier l'espèce.
