Malachite Kingfisher adult
Strictly aquatic, it lives in vegetation around lakes and rivers. It hunts from a fishing perch, feeding on prawns, crabs and insect larvae. Strictement aquatique, cet oiseau vit dans la végétation bordant les lacs et les rivières. Il chasse, perché sur une branche, et se nourrit de crevettes, crabes et de larves d'insectes.
