Tawny Eagle
This stocky eagle is common in open wooded savannah and steppe, but rarely seen in true desert or dense forest. It feeds on small animals, hunting from perch or on the wing. It often pirates prey from other raptors. This one is on the point of flying down to the ground.
Cet aigle trapu est commun dans les savanes boisées et les steppes, mais on le voit rarement dans le vrai désert et les forêts denses. Il se nourrit de petits animaux, chassant depuis un perchoir ou en plein vol. Il dérobe souvent les proies des autres rapaces. Celui-ci est sur le point de descendre sur le sol.
