White-crowned Lapwing adult
Locally common species. Often seen on sandbanks of large rivers where it hunts varied kinds of aquatic invertebrates. It also feeds on insects hawked on the wing.

Espèce commune localement. Il est souvent vu sur les rives sablonneuses des grands fleuves où il chasse toutes sortes d'invertébrés aquatiques. Il se nourrit aussi d'insectes happés en vol.
