La cape jaune est constituée de pollen venu se coller aux plumes naturellement brunes. Chez le mâle,la longueur de la queue dépasse 150% de celle du corps, et peut atteindre 300%. Ici mâle probablement jeune car bien que longue la queue est encore peu fournie.
