Great Egret adult
Common resident. They live in wetlands, such as marshes, streams, rivers, ponds, tide flats and flooded fields. They feed on fishes, frogs, crustaceans, invertebrates, reptiles and small mammals. They nest in colonies with other herons in trees over water.
Fréquente les régions humides (marais, cours d'eau, lacs, étangs, plaines inondables). Se nourrit de poissons, crustacés, batraciens, invertébrés, reptiles et petits mammifères. Niche en colonies avec d'autres hérons, dans les arbres surplombant l'eau.
